Network Printing from Mac OS 9

I wanted to be able to write and print documents from Mac OS 9 using my modern laser printer across my home network. Despite me taking a while to get it working, it is actually quite straight forward to set up when you know how to do it and it works a treat.

1. Open the Desktop Printer Utility

This is located in Macintosh HD > Applications (Mac OS 9) > Apple Extras > Apple LaserWriter Software

2. Click "Printer LPR"

3. Under "Internet Printer" click "Change"

4. Add in your printers IP address. Click verify to check the connection.

5. Now you can print!
